Thunder Outside

It has been thundering quite a bit outside, but no rain that I have noticed. The sky was quite dark a little while ago, but it's sunny, now, so I think the storm is moving away. I kind of like hearing thunder, especially at night, but I always worry we may lose power.
However, if that happens, I now have a new lamp that I can use that has a rechargeable battery. It is touch operated; you just tap it to turn it on and off, and it has three light settings - a low, yellow glow for nighttime, a bright one for reading, and kind of a light peach color that I guess is supposed to be like natural light. Here's a picture of that one so you can see what I mean.

I have that same fear of losing power when the thunder and lighting are in the area that the power will be out for a while.

Yes, it's a worry in the summertime that our food might spoil.

It's terrible! It's in the 90s every day right now. I can take a shower to cool off, but I'm always worried about the food in the fridge and freezer.

I love rechargeable lamps because I could bring it anywhere. I have one for two years now and still working fine. Three light settings too and it's cool to just tap it when you want to turn it on and change the light settings.

Same here. I hate it. The thunder is upping my anxiety. Not much rain at all. That is a nice lamp.

They are probably pretty affordable these days now that the technology is so common. I got this one from Amazon.

You might be able to find something like it. Rechargeable battery technology is so common, now. Mine came from Amazon but Ali Baba probably has them.

cool lamp. I had a touch lamp, but it wasn't rechargeable. But I had to throw it away because it broke.

@AliCanary Once it starts betting close it's very scary.
