Do you have Security cameras around ?

NO, I'm not trying to be nosey, I'm asking for a reason I've been thinking about getting some for our place just not sure if it's worth the $, we live in the woods on a dead end road (1 way in - 1 way out) hardly any 1 comes down our street but there's always a chance. The law system here I can't depend on if I ever needed them in such a case of a thief or something worse, I'd rather shoot 1st & ask questions later. I'm up at all hrs. of the night & you never know if I'm inside or outside, or what place I'm at, either at my cabin or in the trailer "husband's place" ? Being all my Security dogs have passed away right after I got out of the hosp, 3 yrs ago I haven't had the heart nor the thought of getting any. We have night lights all around our place so that helps & a next door neighbor, but I doubt if they would be any help if we needed them for a witness. So what is your thoughts on something like this ? would you rely on the law to keep you safe or Security cameras, or just take matters in your hands ?

When we moved here 10 years ago I took matters into my own hands once Never needed security cameras after that

There are no security cameras in my home. My relatives and myself just hope and pray that no criminal activity will come here.

@Deepizzaguy I listen to the news about all the illegal people that's still in our country & how they have been arrested for some of the crimes they got caught doing, & it's not just the illegals but everyday American people are no better.

with the way criminals are these days, I wouldn't be sitting ducks without ANY protection, I just got 4 Solar Security lights & after it stops raining we'll be putting them up.

There are security cameras in our home. One in front of our gate, inside the garage and in the house. So we could see who's coming in and out of the house. And since my sister and I are out most of the day, it helps us monitor what the maids are actually doing when they're all alone.

@2ndchances24 Just across our gate is our property as well which also has a cctv camera so we could see people passing by and those attempting to enter our gate.

We have the ring doorbells. But that is mostly to know when someone is there. It can take the cops 30 minutes or more to get here so we are basically on our own

@wolfgirl569 That's what I was thinking, I don't have nothing at my cabin but hubby does in the trailer where he stays at.

If you rent I can understand, but if you own the place your living I would get something to ward off strangers.

I'd go for a security camera. It's a wise decision

we just got 4 Solar Security lights, that way we won't be totally in the dark when criminals like to show up.
