Freshwater eel vs salmon

freshwater eels are commonly found in rivers along Java's South Coast (facing the Indian Ocean) as well as in other regions of Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan. These adult eels swim to the southern sea to spawn in deep waters. Shortly after laying their eggs, they die—it is quite sad, really. The eel eggs hatch in the deep sea. The transparent larvae are then carried by ocean currents toward the coast. Upon reaching the coast—particularly near river estuaries—they undergo changes; while still transparent, they begin to grow larger. Technically speaking, the life cycle of this fish is the reverse of that of the salmon.

This is really sad, I am so sorry they die once they have laid the eggs.
