Continuing on with this series of the auction win from the Estate Sale in my area. This win is of an terra cotta clay roasting pan from the 1980's. I have bought one of these before, but it was much larger and about twice the size of it. This one is perfect for just me and the hubster. I had planned on putting it in the flea market but think I will keep it for popping a roast in the oven. It should also produce a very tender roast. It has a glaze on the inside cooking area which should make for easy clean up too. Not a bad deal for only $10 bucks! Do you think I should keep it or send it on to the flea market? I think so too. Today I remarked that I was keeping a small strainer. Usually only cooking for two here unless one of the girls is here or the other with kids. It would come in handy over using the two big ones I already have. I think I'll put them in the storage cabinet in the laundry room. His comment was not, send it to the flea market. We got enough stuff here.

@Ineeddentures These things were a big deal in the 1980's. I had never seen one until about 5 years ago though. Some are plain and do not have the detail on the sides like this one does. And some do not have the nice glazed lining in them.

If you like it that much, you can keep it. It's pretty.

I like this one since it is much smaller than the other one I found. I think it will work nicely for us.

I think I will. It will be perfect for roasts and other things to cook in the oven in the winter. The easy clean up will make it great, along with tender meat!

I want to keep it because center is glazed and should be a quick clean up. Also, it should produce a nice and tender roast.

I may do that. I would probably hit it in the sink though and break it when washing it eventually.
