In most Asian countries sugar is made from sugarcane, not bit. There are several kinds of sugarcane plants. All is sweet and watery but not all can be used to make sugar. This red sugarcane is one of example of sugarcane that not to be processed into sugar. Usually i slice and peel then chew it to get the sweet water.
