That mudslide as unreal

I have watched this terrible incident again in youtube. It was horrible you think you're watching a movie scene. I still find it hard to believe a mudslide that big could actually buried that many people I'm sure there are Trees around the mountains. Those people in the video were running, but it wasn't enough.

@Letranknight2015 oh no how heart breaking. I have many friends from Nepal. Truthfully I have stopped watching the news because of all the tragedies. Mylot is my news update source these days.

I won’t be watching the coverage. I was sad enough just reading about it.

It felt like watching a movie production at first, but I soon realized it was genuine footage of a mudslide. It looked like a tsunami had struck, except the massive waves came from the mountains instead of the sea, destroying everything in their path. It’s a sad day for Nepal and Tibet, which were affected by this disaster, and I pray they can recover from such a tragic event.

@Letranknight2015 I guess no one was prepared for that, since the mountain and glaciers had been there for such a long time that no one expected them to break free and cause a massive slide capable of flattening towns that had existed peacefully for years. Who would think a narrow river could suddenly be overwhelmed with water, ice, and rocks all at once? I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been for the people there.

@rsa101 Somehow, they're blaming the Chinese Govt. for what happened. I'm not into details but I"m sure they didn't consider the environment.

Yeah, I really thought it was like that too @rsa101 but this is real. Both countries are probably not prepared for that kind of disaster.

The scene is terrible. It is suspected that an earthquake struck the region and triggered an ice-rock avalanche on the Lhende Khola river in Nepal, causing the floods.
