Shopping with Mom …. Saving herbs …..baguettes at home !

Well, the heavens opened here last night….thunder, lightning and a lake of water came down …. It did stop, briefly, but started again this morning. Of course, it’s Thursday so I was going shopping with Mom….she phoned to say she wasn’t going anywhere in this weather, so I went back to bed. Later she phoned to say the rain had eased off a built so she was going shopping…..i got ready and was just about the leave to catch the bus , when, I decided to peep at my herbs ….still in pots at the moment. Oh no ! Some had been blown over and all were water logged ! I quickly moved some and tipped the water away but I hadn’t got time to do them all. I met Mom at the supermarket and we did the shopping but then I came home to get and save the herbs. Some are repotted, I can’t do much about the water, so, I have put them in the garage now and can only hope they will be okay. I bought some Turkey and made a Turkey baguette at home for my lunch when I got in. What a day ! How is your day going ?
