Gosh, this is really disappointing and just what I didn't need

I was supposed to be doing a "gig" on Monday. This is by a company that usually offers focus groups. They did this one other time, and it was much closer to where I live. However, this one was supposed to be in Maryland. The problem is that it is going to be extremely hot that day, and a good bit of this is outside, and if not you are sitting in your car for a good bit of time.My AC is still less than desirable Only some of the time is inside in an AC facility. I'm sorry, but this is not worth a possible heat stroke, even though the pay is good. Doesn't do any good if you are in the hospital! I would have gone if had been like it was this week I hated to call and cancel. I didn't want to upset them..but it just isn't gonna work. The other thing when it gets that hot it can storm, and I don't want to deal with that all the way back..just not worth it.
