do some celebrity sports people need to go that far?

I know it's not just money for them but, still. I read that Novak Dokovic lost a tennis match in the US Open but he wouldn't give up and played until the end and there were also news that he was feeling really bad (that v word, that i hate). This is the second match he v-ed and i am not sure why is he pushing this hard. Not every tennis player can be another Federer, Sampras, McEnroe and other. If he has health issues, maybe to retire or take a small break. I like him, he's originally from Serbia, our country neighbour but i also heard he has some weird food regime; those times when Pete Sampras only ate bananas during a match are in the past, it seems. I also don't want to watch video clips or read the news abut his health problems and this thoroughly; i mean, is this all from journalism today. 39 is not old but in sports, it kind of is. What do you think; to step down when it's time or to struggle?

It is undoubtedly hard to give it up.

When you’re that good at something, I think you have so much self-confidence that you may think you can overcome anything. Even if it seems counterintuitive.

I guess each person has their own limits
