Do you like sweet or spicy barbecue sauce?

I like them both, but I had to pick I would probably go with spicy. There is something about the tang of a spicy sauce. People from other countries may not understand how big barbecue and various sauces is here..especially in certain regions of the country. Loving this Famous Dave's sugar free barbecue sauce..definitely getting that again.

This Famous Dave's sauce had just the right amount of tang. I have met few barbecue sauces I don't like. Alabama white is really good too, but hard to find up here I am sure it is available on Amazon though

@Ineeddentures Go for it..great barbecue like great chili is an art form..but you can get reasonable results just simmering your meat in the sauce for awhile.

@Juliaacv It is good with any red meat. I have most recently used it on pork. I have used Montreal steak spice before. It's good.

@snowy22315 I use a McCormick rub called Montreal Steak Spice, and it comes in hot and normal. A mix is quite nice in my books.
What cut of meat would you turn to a coffee rub for? I haven't heard of it.

Never liked sweet sauces especially for a barbecue. So I'd go for the spicy one.

I lean toward spicy because a lot of the “sweet” BBQ sauce I’ve had in restaurants tastes more like a little BBQ sauce poured into a sugar bowl. 
Although I will say that Sonny’s BBQ has a peach BBQ sauce every summer that is just wonderful.

Most of the sweet is overly sweet. Peach huh? I will have to look for that. Try the Famous Dave's sugar free if you can find it .good stuff!

@FourWalls The one near here closed, but their sauce is good!! I want to go to Mission Barbecue. It supports vets and their barbecue is supposed to be awesome

I guess it depends on what it's going to be served with ...both have their place ... If I really had to choose it would probably be spicy ...

I totally get that! If I had to choose, I’d probably go with spicy too. There’s just something about that tangy kick that makes barbecue sauce so much better. And yes, barbecue and all the different sauces are definitely a big deal in certain parts of the country! That Famous Dave’s sugar-free sauce sounds really good—I’ll have to keep that one in mind!
