Pine trees generally thrive in cool highland or mountainous regions. Pine trees are widely utilized as industrial raw materials and for health products, as well as for environmental conservation. Almost all trees in Indonesia originate from imported seedlings. Pine forests in Indonesia are very extensive, particularly in the mountainous regions of Java.

Baguio City, known as the summer capital of the Philippines, owes its reputation to its cool breeze and mountainous terrain. I believe the trees were imported when the Americans founded the city, making it their refuge whenever they sought a cooler place to live.

Jakarta (Even though the map includes as the island of Java) has no mountains on land, but it has dormant underwater mountains.
