Halloween Themed Treats at Disney Springs

On a recent trip to Orlando, Florida (that was Disney related, but not an actual trip to the Disney World theme parks), we decided to take a break in our busy day to head to Disney Springs. For those who may not be familiar with Disney Springs, it is a large shopping and entertainment district located on the Walt Disney World Resort property. It's almost as popular a destination point as the theme parks themselves.
Although there are many amazing restaurants at Disney Springs to choose from, we went specifically to one in particular to try out their new Halloween menu. The place is called Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, and it is a tiny little waterfront establishment that packs a huge punch. Because of its small size, it is really difficult to get into, and there is always a line of people trying to get in (no reservations accepted). So, we figured our best chance was to get there right when they open at 11:30am.
The plan worked, although we did have about a dozen people lined up in the queue ahead of us. But we didn't have to wait more than a minute or two before we were seated.
Now, back to the Halloween menu. This is the second year they have offered Halloween-themed food, and we couldn't wait to try everything (yes, I know, it's only August, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year, so I just couldn't wait to try everything).
The attached photo shows the spread we ordered. There were four alcoholic drinks that we sampled, but they were pretty much standard drinks that had cute Halloween names. There were plantain chips served with queso dip and crispy fried onions (the dip was served in a skull); there was pita with hummus dip served in the mouth of a black cat; there was popcorn chicken served in a lantern/candle holder (the syringe that came with it served "blood," which was just hot honey sauce for the chicken); there was deviled eggs served with chicken bites that came in a candelabra; there was bone kabobs, which was beef brisket served in a miniature coffin; and there were crispy fried chicken sliders that were decorated to look like monster faces.
The presentation of the food was absolutely amazing, as you can see in the picture. And it was all absolutely delicious as well. So good, in fact, that we plan to eat there again in the near future when my son can join us.

I forgot to mention that the little coffin came with a lid that had a tiny speaker inside of it, and when you took the lid off of the coffin there was a scream like from someone scared by a monster.

@JudyEv It was quite a little shocker, because we did not expect a scream. When the waitress brought the food to us, she picked up the coffin with the bone kabobs in it and asked us if we were ready. Then she quickly took off the lid of the mini coffin and it let out a deathly scream. I was not sure what to expect, but I definitely was not expecting that.

No haven't been to a place like that as we don't actually have halloween here. Though over the years we have been imitating the western culture, halloween isn't still a big thing here.

@moffittjc Trick or treating is a thing we never did here ever until malls started doing that and some villages, who have expats residing.
But still not a norm. Though halloween parties start to be a thing here too.

In the past, Halloween wasn't a big thing here in the US either. Sure, we celebrated it with the kids, as it was more about dressing up and trick-or-treating to get candy. But the holiday seems to be gaining in popularity now, especially with the adult crowd.

It tasted as awesome as it looked. Not only was it delicious, but it was a fun experience. I like that the place made it about more than just eating the food. It was like it was an immersive experience.

My relatives and myself have never hosted a Halloween party but when my nephew attended grade school, my relatives and myself would go to a Halloween party at the school many years ago.

I have a friend of mine whom I've known for over 30 years, and he hosts a big Halloween party every year at his house. Everyone has to dress up in costume, and he goes all out in decorating his house. It's become a tradition to attend his event every year, and one of those can't-miss parties that everyone talks about for months afterwards.

I like when restaurants do fun things like that. It makes the meal more than just the food. It incorporates presentation and theme into the dining experience.

The coffin was my second favorite thing. The thing I loved most was the candelabra with the deviled eggs.
