Halloween Themed Treats at Disney Springs

On a recent trip to Orlando, Florida (that was Disney related, but not an actual trip to the Disney World theme parks), we decided to take a break in our busy day to head to Disney Springs. For those who may not be familiar with Disney Springs, it is a large shopping and entertainment district located on the Walt Disney World Resort property. It's almost as popular a destination point as the theme parks themselves. Although there are many amazing restaurants at Disney Springs to choose from, we went specifically to one in particular to try out their new Halloween menu. The place is called Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, and it is a tiny little waterfront establishment that packs a huge punch. Because of its small size, it is really difficult to get into, and there is always a line of people trying to get in (no reservations accepted). So, we figured our best chance was to get there right when they open at 11:30am. The plan worked, although we did have about a dozen people lined up in the queue ahead of us. But we didn't have to wait more than a minute or two before we were seated. Now, back to the Halloween menu. This is the second year they have offered Halloween-themed food, and we couldn't wait to try everything (yes, I know, it's only August, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year, so I just couldn't wait to try everything). The attached photo shows the spread we ordered. There were four alcoholic drinks that we sampled, but they were pretty much standard drinks that had cute Halloween names. There were plantain chips served with queso dip and crispy fried onions (the dip was served in a skull); there was pita with hummus dip served in the mouth of a black cat; there was popcorn chicken served in a lantern/candle holder (the syringe that came with it served "blood," which was just hot honey sauce for the chicken); there was deviled eggs served with chicken bites that came in a candelabra; there was bone kabobs, which was beef brisket served in a miniature coffin; and there were crispy fried chicken sliders that were decorated to look like monster faces. The presentation of the food was absolutely amazing, as you can see in the picture. And it was all absolutely delicious as well. So good, in fact, that we plan to eat there again in the near future when my son can join us. Have you ever been to a place that serves Halloween themed food?
