Create your own happiness! But how do you do that?
When I was a kid I so longed to be an adult quite fast so I wouldn't have to be reprimanded and "controlled."
When I became an adult, I wished I was a kid again because life was way simpler then. No complicated issues. All I had to do was study and play.
I had a happy childhood. I was content.
As an adult, i don't easily get contended. I always longed for something more. Happiness becomes elusive.

No matter how much we try to avoid it, complications seem to pop up like mushrooms.

Yeah, we could always just think of the things we should be grateful about. That way, we can stay positive.

It definitely does seem harder to be happy when you are an adult.

There's a lot more in life to being a adult than being a kid
there's more worries, more decisions, more stress, & less time
to enjoy life than when you were a kid.

I’m not happy, but I’m not unhappy. Is that contentment? I can’t tell. Maybe because of my lifelong battle with depression there will never be a steady to semi steady feeling of one thing. I do try to find joy in any moment that I can, and I think that is more attainable than happiness.
