Raspberry ripple pavlova ice cream

Yes, if you are on holiday in the UK it is the law that you have to have an ice cream. Last weekend The Mister bought a tub of ice cream that we could have at the caravan. We enjoyed it and there was a portion left over. Well, there WAS .....I have just eaten it. Do you have ice cream on its own or with something else ? ( Fruit, sauce, cake )

I have chocolate and strawberry syrups in the fridge for ice cream. But I usually buy Salted Caramel ice cream so don't want a syrup on it. I use the syrup when I've got vanilla ice cream.

I tend to add only a bit of milk, so I can make kind of a crunchy slushy.

The “there WAS…” made me laugh. ?? That leftover ice cream never really had a chance, did it? I usually prefer ice cream on its own, especially if it is a really good flavour. Although I will happily make an exception for a warm brownie or a bit of cake with a scoop of vanilla. There is something about hot and cold together that just works. And I agree, having an ice cream on a UK holiday almost feels compulsory, regardless of whether the weather agrees with you!
