How many times do you wake up in the middle of the night?

Normally, I'd wake up once to pee in the middle of the night.
However, for the past couple of days I've been waking up too many times. I would wake up to check if someone was there next to me. It's as if I could feel the person being there, but there's no one.
I didn't feel scared though. I just feel alone.

It depends on how I spend my waking hours. If I’ve been busy and tired, I usually sleep straight through the night without any trouble. But if something is bothering me, I tend to wake up around 2:30 a.m. and fall back asleep after half an hour to an hour, depending on the situation. That’s usually my routine. When my anxiety was high, there were times I couldn’t sleep deeply at night and was always half awake.

@toniganzon I sometimes track my sleep, and it usually shows around 6 hours total, with about 2 hours of deep sleep and the rest mostly light sleep.

@rsa101 Only two hours of deep sleep. My Apple Watch tells me I only have an hour or less than that most of the time.

@toniganzon Oh, no, the second time I wake up isn’t to use the bathroom. I just happen to wake up another time for no apparent reason.

It's annoying to be awaken by the call of nature several times a night. Could it be the meds you're taking?

Yeah, but you don't wake up in the middle of the night at all for any other reason?

Its usually once or twice and usually brought on by strange dreams. People say I yell in my sleep like bad, scary bad, but its not all the time. Just once in a blue moon. Some of my dreams kind of scary but never the way they describe I scream. Maybe I should do one of those sleep studies.
I never feel alone either.

I would have nightmares and cry in my sleep. Sometimes I'd wake up sobbing because my heart just aches so much. It would take me a few minutes to recover.
