What’s one good thing you’re grateful for today?

I thought that when I got to a certain point in life where I had the perfect career, the most beautiful house and all the other things in the world that I desired, then and only then I would be happy. But, as life has taught me along the way, sometimes we get so caught up trying to reach our destination, that we forget to acknowledge and appreciate what we already have along the journey.
I've come to realize that the road to happiness isn't just at the end of the journey, but that some of the happiness is found in the journey itself
It is found in being grateful of what you have because you know that a good life is not measured by material things. It's accepting that everyone defines what a good life differently and enjoying the journey because you know that there is always something better around the corner.

I totally agree. I just kept thinking as a teen that when I got older I’d be happy. I soon realized that has nothing to do with it. Then when I got sick, I realized you can’t wait to be happy. You have to find the joy where you can along the way. I began to keep a gratitude journal to note all the things I have to be thankful for. Circumstances and chronic depression may keep me from what the text book definition of happiness is, but it doesn’t keep me from finding true joy in so many moments.
I’m grateful for family today.

They say money can't buy happiness. But I think those saying that are hypocrites. Especially these days, where life is just so hard.
Contentment though can make one happy but that doesn't mean that we can be without money.
