I Get My Feelings Hurt When People Don’t Respond to My Texts

What’s so hard about responding a text with an “okay” or anything to acknowledge that someone said something to you?
I tend to take it personally.
I give them a whole day and still sometimes they don’t answer. It makes me feel unimportant.
Does it bother you if people don’t answer your texts?

Sometimes. It depends on what I know is going on in their life. Sometimes I am so overwhelmed that all I can do is respond with an emoji or gif, but they know I have read them.

I understand. It really depends on who it is. If it’s my sister it doesn’t bother me because she has three kids and fibromyalgia. Plus, she ignored me when she was childless. I had to learn she’d do that any person if they were her sister. That role is far down on her list of importance.
With my dad, I don’t care because I have no problems calling and making him talk to me about the text he ignored. I have no shame in bothering him when I know he had the opportunity to answer me.
It’s everyone else where it would hurt my feelings if more than a day went by. Especially if it were my best friend. Fortunately, she’s never done that to me.

I don't like it either. I think that people who do it repeatedly are definitely, vending a message

I just don't take it to heart anymore, people are having a lot of baggage in their hearts, so I just try to be understandable. But believe me if I need an answer I can't waste a minute to call them and sadly some of them don't answer my call, but that's on them its not for me to get sad or let that ruin my day. its their lost not mine, lol!
