Reunited!

It’s a fine fine day for a reunion! Have you ever missed someone so much that you were going through withdrawals? I’ve been like that for the past two weeks. Today was the payoff, the reunion. I wasn’t shaking, but I was giddy as hell. I wasn’t missing an actual person, though. God no. My gravel bike, Agent Gravel, was being worked on for the last two weeks. This afternoon, we were reunited. It felt so good. It needed a new front derailleur, which then led to needing a new chain (I had stretched the chain beyond belief - it was the first chain in Project Hero Denver history that needed replacing simply from being worn out just from riding,) so we had to wait for that, but now everything is in top shape, and clean. It’s almost like riding a brand new bike. Apparently, I am, in fact, addicted to a bike. We only rode 17 miles today, but that was 17 of the best miles I’ve ridden this year. It just felt right. It was a fine fine day, indeed! Photo is Agent Gravel back in his spot behind the door. Link is to “A Fine Fine Day” by Tony Carey:

Lol the withdrawals bit made me laugh, but I get it, two weeks without your bike is rough. Wearing out a chain just from riding is honestly kind of impressive haha. Glad Agent Gravel is back home and those 17 miles sound like they were worth the wait.

So pleased to hear you and Agent Gravel have been reunited. May you one day wear out another chain on it.

That would be nice! Means I'm still riding!
