Well , Pakistan almost became the first team to go through a three match test series of completed innings of not scoring 200 in any of those innings. They were terrible in English conditions here and lost badly in the first two tests. Players were sent home, players were picked who had not played test cricket and others plucked from T20 leagues around the world to make up the team. One guy had not played red-ball cricket for two years and, not surprisingly, made nought in each innings. There was talk of match fixing and arguments behind the scenes for the reason for the poor show but nothing firmed up. Running the Pakistan cricket team if the third most prestigious job in Pakistan behind the president and prime minister, and even the military. Political interference is rife in Pakistan cricket. He has really struggled this series as the keeper has been standing up to the stumps and Root has been getting out LBW and not getting many runs. But great players fix those things.
