Shops and towns Closing!

A lot of shops are closing in my area. Not sure is it due to online shopping and delivery or something. Also malls are closing too. I don't know if this has becoming a norm. Internet has made local economies shrink for sure. Data centers are eating up the lands. automation warehouses of amazon are buying larger lands. Have you noticed this around your home?

Yeah same here, few shops near me shut down this year and it's kinda sad tbh. Online shopping is just easier and cheaper so hard to blame people for switching. Malls in my city feel half empty now too, like nobody go there no more.

yes malls are ghost town. unless they adopt some festivals or put some activities to go out there, I don't think they will make it. need some social activities back in the world.

Lots of shops are closing in the UK too. Partly it's internet shopping, but the top end shops are going out of business and cheap shops are taking their place.

Well, our local mall is still going strong, but it’s a high class mall. Online shopping does hurt business, no doubt. A couple cities over we used to have a big, popular mall, but slowly gangs took over that area and businesses withdrew their stores.
