I saw my psychiatrist today. It didn’t turn out like I expected.
He had told me three months ago that we’d be takingg me off of a certain medication so I went ahead and stopped it. Now he says I need it in conjunction with something else and to start taking it again . I apologized for jumping the gun
He had referred me to a gyno to talk about taking hormone replacement therapy and I told you how that visit went and how my research said not to do it at my age. He wants me to take them
And he ways to increase my other medication
Is that all that doctors do now is throw drugs at the problem?

It’s not new. I had a civilian doctor 30-plus years ago whose answer to everything was “take this, and if you don’t get better come back and see me.” One time he prescribed something and I said, “I can’t take this, asthmatics aren’t supposed to take this.” He should have known that….but I’m glad I did!

I am not sure but you should get a second opinion

Just now
I only see a nurse practitioner and many of them try natural things first.

Do you trust this guy? If you do, I guess there is little option but to follow his advice.
