They are opening another dispensary in this area

NJ legalized recreational marijuana a few years ago. It took some time for us to get a dispensary in the area. It is always busy. Whenever I drive by the parking lot is packed. About a year later another one opened almost directly across the street. I thought that was kind of overkill but I guess it is good for consumers because it keeps the prices from being completely crazy.
This morning I was driving to work and I noticed a sign on a building like 5 minutes from here that said "dispensary coming soon". I was like "really?" That will make 3 of them within less than 2 miles of each other. I didn't realize that there was such a huge market for pot in this area.
Marijuana is not my thing. I used gummies to help me sleep a couple of years ago when I had the Interlock in my car. I was always afraid that I would be trying to get to work and the thing wouldn't let the car turn on since they had it set to block ignition if your BAC was 0.02. Interlock doesn't detect pot so I would just pop a gummy about an hour before I wanted to sleep and it was all good. Well, actually it wasn't all good. They helped me to sleep but I would feel hungover at 5am in the morning when I was getting ready for work. So I don't dabble in that stuff any longer. I don't judge those who do.
It will be interesting to see if all 3 dispensaries are able to stay open or if they wind up poaching customers.

Three dispensaries that close together does seem like alot for one small area, wonder how they all stay in business. Makes sense using gummies back then but that hungover feeling in the morning sounds rough. Guess we'll see if the market can really support all three or if one ends up folding.

I have two within walking distance. They both seem to do okay. A lot depends upon both quality of product and the attitude of the staff. I've stayed away from dispensaries due to both.
