The Doctor and the Violin

Ages ago, just before WWII, there was a young medical student in Riga, Latvia, who had a passion for the violin. Nothing wrong there; however, he played very badly and thought he was very good. When occupation of Latvia came and the Russians moved in, people began fleeing the country. The medical student made sure to bring his violin with him. In the DP or Displaced Persons camps in Germany a humorous story began circulating about how they could have kept the Russians out of Latvia. Simply by having this medical student stand on the border between Latvia and Russia and play his violin. The horrid sounds would keep everyone away.

Funny. But I'm pretty those people at DP meant that.

Few things sound worse than a badly played violin.

@RasmaSandra There was a lady who fancied herself as an opera singer and was so rich she could put on her own concerts but her singing was very bad indeed.

This story is wild but kinda funny too, imagine being so bad at violin that it becomes a whole legend. I feel bad for the guy honestly but also can't stop laughing at the image of him playing at the border lol. History really do be having jokes sometimes.

@Wrexxo and imagine him taking that violin with him and when the people in the DP Camps were sad enough anyway and depressed, there he was playing away and giving out headaches,
