It's still hot out, but I'm not breaking into a sweat walking down to the mailbox. On some days I would, because it was just that humid. Out of nowhere, George decided he wanted to watch Battle Star Galaticia so I had to help him get it going. Now he's happy.
I also saved us a bill on glasses George didn't need, because I made him check his existing ones.
Sure we could technocally afford it, but I don't want to spend recklessly, either.It has to last, and if George needed a stronger readeing prescription, I would've happly paid for it no questions asked, but I needed to be sure first.
It's all good.

Which he didn't. Insurance doesn't cover everything. Unless we use the Va, which runs on its own schedule.

Still hot? Ugh! It was here yesterday and the day before it was cold. Mother Nature is having fun.
Being frugal about such things means you have some $$ down the line when you need it for something else.
