Are "Chicken and Waffles" a Thing Where You Live?

It seems to me that these were first a thing in the "Deep South" of the United States, popular among African Americans. There's a whole history about them on Wikipedia if you want more information.
But just like "Pumpkin Spice" is now oversaturated into everything this time of year, apparently Chicken and Waffles is making a comeback into popularity in the mainstream now.
I noticed that the US Fast Food Chain "Chick Fil A" is offering chicken and waffles now as a sandwich.
Then I saw this in the store yesterday. They've gone too far with it now, don't you think? Chicken and waffle flavored cookies? No thanks, I'll pass.

But they are a thing on our house.
I use a lot of chicken and also love having loads of potato waffles in the freezer
Are your waffles made from potatoes?

A version using fried chicken is associated with the American South. The soul food version of chicken and waffles grew in popularity after the opening of the Wells Supper Club in Harlem, New York, in 1938.[2] The waffle is served as it would be for breakfast, with condiments such as butter and syrup.

I did a post about the Chick Fil A chicken and waffle sandwich and a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful!
Another Mylotter posted about these Oreos too, and she liked them. That was a while ago though. I got some for free, and didn’t like them. However, my sister, nieces, and brother-in-law did. To me, it just tasted like maple syrup. It only smelled a bit like chicken.

@LooeyVille I don’t think a lot of people did as the poster isn’t on Mylot all the time. I took one bite of the cookie, and I swear I suddenly knew what diabetes tasted like.

I buy frozen waffles then top them with pizza sauce, ground Italian sausage and top with shredded Cheddar they are so good when the cheese melts, No these are not my kind of cookies,

I saw these at the store, was not the least bit tempted. Just plain Oreos are so processed and toxic, let’s add artificial chicken flavor and more junk to the ingredients list. Honestly, they really do sound disgusting.
