What keeps you awake?

Sleeping at 3am is no fun at all!
Fortunately, I wasn't alone coz my friend was there to accompany me in FaceTime.
I fell asleep at 10 only to wake up at midnight and couldn't sleep at all until 3am. Woke up at 6:15 this morning since it is my usual waking up time.
I was a bit of afraid of having the same awful dream. When I close my eyes, I could instantly see that same house, the same scenario. So I stayed awake.
It's going to be a tough day today.

Hope you got through the day.
I have no trouble falling asleep , but when I wake up I can never get back to sleep.
If something is on my mind I do get weird dreams.

I will try to take a nap after lunch. A 5 minute nap will be enough to get me through the rest of the afternoon.
I will be really busy this morning so I'm going to be ok.

@Traceyjayne I am the same sometimes. Once something is on your mind, it can be surprisingly difficult to switch off, and then the strangest dreams can follow. Hopefully Toni gets a better night tonight.

Oh dear Toni
Not good.
Especially if you are losing sleep over it

@Ineeddentures Yes, losing sleep over a dream can really leave you exhausted the next day. Hopefully it was just a bad night and Toni can put it behind her.

How scary for you. I used to have really bad anxiety and being the head of the household I would go into a tang spin when we had things coming up that we had to take care of. Afraid something might go wrong. I have gotten a lot better now and I had meds that I can take if things get bad. But there for a few years I was in a bad way.

I know how important sleep is for the health. I planned to take a nap after lunch but I didn’t feel sleepy at all.

That sounds like a really rough night. I can imagine how unsettling it must feel to close your eyes and immediately see the same dream again. Hopefully you get some proper sleep tonight and wake up feeling much better.
