What's on the boob tube? Movie Time.

We’ve been talking about watching this particular movie pretty much since it came out, so we finally decided to break down and watch it tonight.
So… what movie are we talking about?
Well, Violent Night, of course!
It stars David Harbour, aka Hopper from Stranger Things, as Santa Claus. Yep… Hopper is Santa. It also has Beverly D’Angelo, who you probably remember as Ellen Griswold from the Vacation movies.
The movie came out in 2022 and is basically a Christmas movie mixed with action, dark comedy, and a whole lot of violence. The story has Santa showing up at a wealthy family’s house on Christmas Eve, only to find himself in the middle of a hostage situation. Let’s just say this is definitely NOT your typical Christmas movie.
So after talking about it for all these years, we finally sat down and watched Violent Night.
Was it worth the wait? Well… we’ll get to that!

“Violent Night” is obviously a play on “Silent Night”. I’ve never heard of it. I hope it was worth the wait.
It’s too early for Christmas movies, so I’ll just wait.
For me Die Hard is the best Christmas movie ever, but some say it’s not a Christmas movie. What say you?
I also enjoyed The Nightmare Before Christmas. Typical brilliance from Tim Burton.

Die Hard is not a Christmas movie. Both Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman have said so in interviews.
