Well, I know that @FourWalls isn’t going to like the start of this series, but for you Elton John fans, this one is for you! I jest, of course. “Electricity” is a 2005 single from Elton John. It was written by Sir Elton, with Lee Hall, for the stage production of Billy Elliot the Musical. This was Lee Hall’s baby; he wrote the screenplay for the movie, Billy Elliot (2000,) wrote the book, and wrote the lyrics for the stage adaptation. The tune was John’s 63rd UK Top 40 hit, and overall charted in five countries. However, unless you hunt down the single, if you want a physical copy of the song, it was included as a bonus track on the 2005 Compact Disc release of John’s 2004 album, Peachtree Road (named for a street in Atlanta on which Elton owns a home.)
