Online Spoilers Make Me Mad

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's sunny but chilly here this morning. A typical Fall day and I'm loving it.
I wanted to sleep in a bit this morning since I haven't slept well the past two nights. But I forgot it's Thursday and woke up to the sound of the lawn crew buzzing around with their mowers. So, I got up and started my day and hoping my coffee works it's magic.
My newest pet peeve is spoiler alerts especially when it comes to tv shows.
One of my favorites is Big Brother and this season has been so disappointing due to spoilers. They have live feeds which you can find online and see what's going on in the Big Brother house between episodes. So, the people who watch the live feeds and spy on the contestants find it necessary to spill the beans online leaving basically little way to escape it and when the episode airs it's anti-climactic. It's coming to the end of this season so hearing about who's been eliminated beforehand just makes me so mad.
I won't ramble on and on about how spoilers on social media just ruin a show but sometimes I feel like it's a game some people play. They just want to be the first to post on social media like it's a competition to see who can be first.
Anyway, that's my gripe for this morning

It's not that I follow anyone in particular but they just pop up randomly when you scroll. It's just frustrating

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by spoilers. Tv shows, books (that random person who has to give away the ending when recommending a book) and it goes the same for movies.

I’m not on social media enough to have spoilers ruin things for me. But I remember about 15 years ago I was watching a show called, Harper’s Island. I logged in to an entertainment site, and without warning was a picture of who the killer was. I was so annoyed. Not surprisingly, I haven’t been back to that site in awhile.

I actually have a DJ copy of a record from the 60s where DO NOT GIVE AWAY THE ENDING is printed on the label!
A lot of the old newsgroups I used to belong to would have “spoiler alert” at the top and several paragraph breaks () to give people ample time to back out and avoid the spoilers.
Then there are jokes: I remember one TV show where someone got mad at someone else and decided to ruin their day by saying, “Oh, by the way, Rosebud was a sled!”

Ugh yes, spoilers are the worst, it really does feel like some people just race to post first for bragging rights. Big Brother live feeders are the worst offenders honestly. Hope your coffee kicked in and the day got better despite the lawn crew wake up call lol.
