Honestly going to hospital and staying there for few days and having operation is so expensive in Indonesia. Most people use national insurance for medical service. In certain occasions I had to pay by myself because no covered by my insurance and it was so much. Fortunately my operation is fully covered by my insurance so i don't need to worry. The insurance is not expensive, but many people don't join national insurance because the prefer to buy cigarette to smoke, to drink or to do online gambling than to pay the insurance. Then many people go broke when they are sick and need some operation or medical service at hospital.

Insurance is very important, my cousin who has dialysis twice a week is covered by insurance, but the journey from his house to the hospital is very far so he still needs money to go back and forth.

Even in my country medical care is extremely expensive especially for terminal illnesses, ICU and surgeries. On the other hand not many can afford health insurance

In my country we have private insurance and national/state insurance. For national insurance it is affordable for all and for worker it is a must

I agree with you. Insurance is very important but it's sad that a lot don't know how important it is until it's too late..glad your operation got covered by insurance

Our health insurance is quite expensive but over the years we've been very pleased to have it.
