Hey everyone, how are you doing?
I am back to share how I did on day 55 of my carnivore journey.
My blood sugars stayed pretty stable again - higher around my first meal of the day (got up to around 120) but then around my 2nd meal they did start lowering. I did not take any meal time insulin today, just my long acting.
Anyways - what did I eat?
Meal 1 - About 4 oz of top sirloin steak. I would have had more but this cut was extra fatty. Yes I still need the fat, so I had butter in it's place.
Meal 2 - I had almost 10 oz of salmon. I did add some butter since it is not very fatty at all. I really should be doing a 1:1 ratio at least of fat to protein. I think I did get close to that today. For fertility I should be doing at least 1.5 fat to 1 protein ( a sweet spot of 120 fat and 80 protein)
Anyways -- my macros ending up being approx: 1,213 calories, 0 carbs, 95 fat, 83 protein.
One good thing to note is my blood pressure has been pretty good these past 55 days. if it was a bad diet, surely my blood pressure would be showing it, right?
I am interested how my A1c and other bloodwork will look when I go back to the doc in December, and how much more weight I will lose by then.

nope not in the last 2 years. But hoping that losing weight and healing my hormones with this way of eating will help it to happen.
Yes that is good for sure

I have a TON of salt lol....on this diet you actually need more because you don't hold onto water and salt like you do with a standard american diet, so you lose it quickly...so need to consume more than on a normal diet.
Low blood pressure would be scary too...so I can understand why they'd recommend that.

@AmbiePam I am sorry that they do, chips are so good lol. I would say an electrolyte drink might help, so I guess what you mentioned

I am sure that it does, but we have been checking ours daily lately and it's always been good when I check it.

Well it needs to be for the rest of my life...even though I will probably have a carb day here and there. Yes they have been mostly stable, I do hate when they go over 100 though. Yes that is a good thing too
