Gilmore Girls 101: Luke or Christopher

@AmbiePam and I have a lot of conversations late at night. Well really we have conversations all the time, but the night ones seem to be the most entertaining.
One of the shows we talk about a lot is Gilmore Girls. I mean how could you not? It's one of the best shows there has ever been.
We were talking about Rory and her taste in men, and that got me thinking about Lorelai and her taste in men.
Of course if you haven't watched the show, none of this will make sense. But if you haven't watched the show, what are you doing responding to a post about a show you don't watch. Heh.
But if you did watch the show then you know that Christopher is of course Lorelai's childhood sweeheart and father of Rory. He was a real piece of work for most of the show. But people still loved him as Lorelai's love interest. I didn't. He was never commited, even when the duo got married.
Which of course means I am team Luke. He was there for years, for whatever he needed. Not only that but he was there for Rory too.
So I am very strongly a Team Luke.
Which one do you like more?

i agree with Amber; Luke disappointed me when he didn't want Lorelai to be a part of April's life (i still remember pain on her face) and for telling Lorelai too late about having a daughter. But, i must say and it's too bad noone of these 2 knew it sooner but, they were made for each other from the start. And, don't hate me but i don't like Rory as a character now.

Can you blame him though? He acted humanly in the situation. I don't say that to excuse actions, but finding out you have a kid 12-13 years after she;s born would shock you emotionally and in your brain. I think a lot of men would act exactly that way. Plus they had to give him a flaw or he would of been almost perfect.

@valherma00 Unless you've been in the situation, you cant really judge on it. Introducing kids into a relationship is hard. Especially when that kid is still getting used to you. You need to apprach it with logical thinking and not "he was mean or did wrong."
Chris was not funny, he was a d-bag.

@thislittlepennyearns he was his fiance and he could gradually involve her with april but april's mother stood her ground too hard so, i blame him a little
but, he was always the portrayal of a real man. Chris was like a boy who never grew up. handsome, funny, only that.

I didn't like him nearly as much as I liked Digger Stiles. I don't know why, but I liked Lorelai dating someone from her past that wasn;t Christopher if that makes sense.

@AmbiePam He was my second favorite after Luke. I will admit when I was younger I liked Christopher, but the older I got the more I saw that he was just a idiot and self obssessed. He was okay after Luke punched him although still pretty much insufferable.
