What a beauty!

Yesterday a lady whom I'd had connected over Facebook in the month of June this year, called me up from Perth, Australia.
Initially she was apologetic for not having responded earlier and then we fell into talking.
Gradually I got to know she loves to make dolls, soft toys, quilts for children in the community as part of the community service and that making them is a passion.
She has been in Australia for more than two decades. It is something that keeps her centred and creative at the same time. She has been appraised by the community for her work.
So when I asked for a sample she shared this picture.
I'm waiting for more of such exquisite art pieces.

She said one day when she was completing a quilt it took her more than 5 hrs. So concerned was her husband about her eyes, that he repeatedly told her to leave it for the next day. Finally, when she was done, her eyes were burning. But the next day she was light and cheerful.
