Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
It's almost midnight, so I am about to go get some sleep. Before I go though I wanted to share how I did today with food.
For my first meal of the day I had 3 slices of bacon and 2 eggs. That has become my standard it seems. I added butter to cook the eggs since I did not make the bacon today (it was leftover from yesterday).
Then my second meal I had 11 oz salmon with some butter
Macros -- 1,149 calories, 0 carbs, 87 fat, 86 protein
Protein and carbs were great for the day. My fat still needs some work. Since I am trying to heal hormones and fix my blood sugar, I should be having a 2:1 fat to protein ratio. So that means if I have 80 protein I should have 160 fat. I was struggling trying to get 120 fat lol.
I'll work on trying to consistently get to 120 and see if that helps. Then maybe take it up to 140.
My blood sugar did go lower after my second meal with all the fish.
Now once again I am at a loss of what to eat tomorrow.

Well I had steak instead lol.
But maybe tomorrow, if I remember to take bacon out.
You can't if she doesn't? My husband and I don't always eat the same thing lol

It all comes back to insulin resistance. And eating carbs keep insulin spiked and the hormones never heal that way. To lose weight and fix hormones you got to keep insulin levels low. Insulin is a fat storing hormone too. Oh, and cholesterol is good for the hormones lol.
Lots of info I know. Maybe I should write up a whole discussion on it

Did you try to plan what to eat for the whole weeks or months? I think it will save you a lot of trouble if you can plan your weekly meals.

I don't even plan it daily lol. Sometimes I will take out a couple different meats to have over the course of a few days, so none will go bad. I did have a steak out defrosting, so ended up having it for breakfast, and will have more for my second meal.

I love any type of fish. Salmon is my favorite. I try to have it a couple times a week.

That's good you do, I like a couple different types but not all. Salmon is definitely a favorite. I probably have it way to often. I'd eat it every day if it weren't for the mercury.

Yes, getting in enough fat is tough. I do good getting a 1:1 ratio but double is going to be tricky. That is probably around a whole stick of butter a day; when I have been eating about half a stick over the course of a day. Of course, when I cook in fats that does help so I don't have to actually eat as much.
I don't like avocado, though I do have avocado oil mayo lol. Cheese is good, but it can hurt weight loss (though you'd think all the butter would lol).
My sugar is lower earlier today which is nice.
