Horizon

A lot of my photos/images are my husband's work from Flickr. He happily lets me use them.
My son's art are on Instagram would eventually monetize them and offer to draw/graphic design for people. He's got a job as Art Assistant teacher at a college near us.
The staff encouraged him to study further (diploma?) to be able to teach students as Art Teacher.
What do you advice regarding exploring his options "beyond the horizon"?" :-)

I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about monetizing artwork. My daughter often draws piictures for people to use online. (She draws pictures used in cartoons. She has a teaching degree but isn't doing anything with it. She takes care of me and the government pays her for that.)

@everwonderwhy Very nice! I've never asked Pretty how much she was paid for her artwork.

When he was in Year 12 (2023), his Art Instructor/Teacher hired him to illustrate for her reference book to be published. She paid him $550 for 4 illustrations. That was his turning point. Bless the teacher!

That's really cool that your son already has a teaching job and the staff is backing him. I think the diploma sounds like a smart move, since it opens more doors and he can still grow his art on Instagram on the side. Maybe he could start small with a few commissions and see what people like.

Thank you, Michael @Wrexxo His older sisters asked him to design for their small businesses. And they paid him. Thank you, Amber @AmbiePam . My son is looking into it for next year, 2027. We are just apprehensive about (avoiding) getting into student loan debt. But it looks like a good plan to look into.

I guess it would depend on what he was inclined to do. Not everyone is meant to be a teacher.

Yeah, your'e right. He's shown interest into pursuing his career as an Art teacher. So far as I know. He said it would also bump up his salary and rate Level.

If he's got the talent as it seems he does because he's being encouraged to study further, I think he should. Ultimately, it's his decision.

That’s an amazing photo and so much more so because it’s black and white.
I think if your son has the talent and desire to teach then he should certainly train further.
