Online teaching scammer website / myLot

Recently I escaped narrowly from being scammed by an Indian online teaching platform "humse pudho". Seeing their ad. on Facebook I went to their website and applied. The mean coordinator gave me a missed call on my smartphone. I called back. She gave me a long lecture of that I would have to go through a written test and a verbal test. After that she asked for Rs.3000 as registration fee. I had to snob her saying that in my 15years of online teaching no one had asked for any registration fee and hung off. I have blocked her number. I really have to be careful now from these scammers.

Good thing you caught it early. Any real platform pays you, not the other way around, so asking for a fee is a red flag. Glad you blocked her, and stay safe out there.

I have to always stay alert as such type of scammers keep approaching every now and then.

People these days will do anything and everything to scam people. Guess they really only want to earn easy money and not find a real job.

@aninditasen I"m not sure they think of themselves as that smart but I think they take their chance coz they know there are people who are really vulnerable or desperate. And they take advantage of those kind of people.
