It's a good thing I went to the store yesterday!

They are saying now there will be continuous rain today, and it has already been raining for hours. It is as dark as night in here. Anyway, the doctor has prescribed fosamax for my mother as her bone density scan was not good. I told her to check to make sure her vitamins contained calcium and to start drinking milk and eating cheese. Brittle bones in the elderly can be a real problem as even a minor bump could potentially cause a fracture. Sis was pointing out that there were certain guidelines to taking it as well.

Sorry to hear about your mom, I hope the Fosamax helps her bones get stronger. It's good that your sister is paying attention to the guidelines, because those matter with that medicine. Stay dry out there, that rain sounds like a lot.

My late grandmother took that. She didn’t have any problems taking it so hopefully it will work for your mother too.

I am so sorry for your Mom, milk and more cheese will surely help her. Sardines and canned salmon contain a lot of calcium. I eat every week. Also almonds.

Yogurt is good. That would help her stomach as well. I will suggest that.

I’m supposed to be susceptible to osteoporosis. I have Prolia injections and take Vitamin D and calcium.

I take calcium too, but just in my vitamins. Too much calcium can affect the heart and veins.
