Students aboard a bus in Hollidaysburg Pennsylvania are being praised as heroes when 10th grader Alexis Smith jumped out of her seat when the bus driver passed out while driving the bus on September 18.
Alexis managed to use the brake to stop the bus from moving forward and causing a major accident.
Alexis then used the radio to call for help. Alexis then checked the pulse of the bus driver until first responders came to take care of the bus driver.
The good news is that the bus driver has made a full recovery and he is back at work safe and sound.
Alexa is being praised by members of the Hollidaysburg Area School District for her act of bravery.

Thank goodness Alexis was able to bring the bus to a stop. It must have been scary for a few minutes.

I know what you mean since many others would have in panic mode seeing the bus driver out cold from an illness.
