Is today my lucky day times 50?

I performed my predawn ritual morning constitution and under streetlights, looked down and spied a quarter. A few feet away was another quarter. I scooped them up. 50 cents will not buy anything these days but is 50 cents towards purchasing an item. I am not too proud to bend over and pick up change which I have done since childhood even when made fun of for. To a kid in those ancient times, a few pennies were gold and could buy some candy. Having lived a lifetime of being cost conscious you adopt an every penny counts attitude and those coins sneakily add up over time. Used to pick up pennies galore but since penny production ceased, rarely now. I doubt I will enjoy a 50 times lucky day but at least 50 cents richer. Woohoo!

Weird I answered, but it didn't post. Found money is good. I picked up about 28 cents last week.

@AmbiePam I am sorry about that. I was having trouble with Pixabay image and didn't realize it had posted the one where the image didn't stick. I apologize.

Hey, I answered the first version of this discussion and now it’s deleted! Okay, I guess I’ll tell you again. I won’t pick up two quarters, but I have picked up a dollar bill. So I guess I’ll pick up four quarters in paper form. I’m just too the point my back dictates what I’ll lean over to get.

That is a good find. It is getting to be sweater/hoodie weather here in the mornings. Every single hoodie jacket that I have pulled out of the closet has had a quarter in the pocket. There is still 1 grocery store that requires them for the carts, that must be how they got into the pockets. I was happy yesterday when I reached into a pocket a found a toonie, that will at least buy me a medium coffee through the drive through.

Same here, I never walk past loose change either, it all adds up eventually. Funny how kids today would probably skip a penny but to us it was real candy money. Nice find, two quarters in one walk is a good start to the day.

I pick up any amount of money I see lying on the ground from pennies to paper dollar bills, it all adds up in the end
