Our prisons are full

Madness here. The U.K population rose by 10 million in twenty years, mostly due to the European Union free movement. We also have migrants coming over The Channel, and as you know, a hugely contentious issue here, as big as Brexit. In fact immigration is the big issue across Europe. The Western European countries took the bulk of Muslim immigration and so have the bulk of the uprising, France, Germany heading for far right governments, Italy already there, Spain and Portugal unsure.
So with this mass movement comes crime but the UK actually not increasing its prison places? The left, that are relatively pro immigration, rarely talk about the negatives of it. 12,000 plus of our 88,000 prison population is foreign. The current government has stepped up deportation of criminals as we have another big problem. There is nowhere to put our new criminals. The men's prisons are at 95% full.
The solution is not good. The government are releasing prisoners early , some serving just one third of their sentence. This has happened before here and will again. They say they had to do it because if it gets to 100%, capacity they cant lock ANYONE up and that's anarchy. But when they released people early they quickly return to jail - re-offending types, drug addicts, habitual villains ....
Mass immigration brings certain types of criminals. Judges cant deport them if their crime is less than a one year sentence. Judges have been 'pressured' to keep them in for 'less' than one year for crimes that have a much higher tariff than that. For British passport villains its a similar thing , shorter sentence's...quicker releases.
I don't understand why we haven't built more prisons here with such a sharp population rise. Yes, its expensive but its important that we don't pile up victims that have to deal with this. If your letting guys go just because the prisons are full its ludicrous.
The Alpine country of Austria had a prison population that was 70% Romania. They could take no more and so did a deal with Romania and built a prison there to put them in it. It worked well. Britain would need to build one in Albania, one in Iraq, one in Ireland and so on....

Your problem isn't exclusive. It's an issue here also.

This would be a huge headache for the government. We need more prisons too but we have refugee centres that are empty. You'd think they could be adapted.
