. It's 7:07 a.m. I'm still in bed. Weather is 24 degrees Celsius, low for today is 23, high is 30. Still power is an issue. It's been so frustrating. Hardly can charge my phone. I really hope today is better.
Yesterday I did a lot of online gigs and I got good news from a friend. She got a job. I'm genuinely so happy for her. When we reconnected, she told me she's been grinding every kind of gig she could find since graduating. That makes this job news even sweeter.
As for me, my online gigs keep me going. Mylot helps, and I still run a PayPal workaround through a trusted friend abroad. Still, gigs are time-limited, and sometimes I get like three gigs back to back. That can take over an hour, which is a lot when power and data are unreliable. Speaking of power, it stayed on for about three days but that doesn't mean anything's fixed.
Lagos trip tomorrow for my stepdad's burial. Family will be there, and we'll return on Thursday. Lagos can be tough. It's not a quiet city. You really have to be smart. I'm not looking forward to the stress, but I've got to go.
And maybe today, I'll leave a voice note for my friend who hasn't replied yet. For now, I'm just lying here, thinking about coping with the journey, and we'll see how it goes.

I’m so glad your friend got the job. It sounds like she’s a hard-working individual who deserved the break she got. I hope you know we’ll be praying for you while you go on your journey, and hopefully that will make things easier for you; because I know it’s very important.

I do not like driving in busy cities at all. I am sure tomorrow will be a hard day for you 
. I hope the burial goes smoothly and you are able to reminisce about happy times.
That really does sound awful about the lack of electric. Hard when you need to do your work and need the money.
