Technical Difficulties

Happy Monday Everyone! it's sunny and chilly here this morning. I'm enjoying my coffee and the pup is snoring.
I had myself all settled with coffee handy and had some online stuff to do before coming here to chat.
One chore is paying bills so I signed into my bank to do that dreaded chore, got the first bill done, hit send payment and a big error comes up saying they are experiencing technical difficulties and to come back later.
Just a wee bit frustrating since I wanted to get that done and forget about it.
I ventured over to Etsy, found a really nice birthday card which I ordered for my Aunts 90th! My Aunt is remarkable and I know I've spoken about her and my Uncle many times. She will be 90 and he's nearly 95, both still drive, do their own shopping, she still cleans the house, etc. I cant' even do half of what they do and I'm younger.
We got good news over the weekend. My daughter in law had her yearly cancer appointment and she's cancer free for the 2nd year in a row. Praise God
My daughter in laws sister, husband and family live in Canada so my son, daughter in law and the boys will be going up there to celebrate Thanksgiving. This is the first time they'll be going to Canada to visit them as usually they come here.
By the end of October my son will be doing a big reno for my oldest daughter. Her shower in her primary bathroom is cracked and needs replacing. So, they decided what they wanted and my son will do it when he gets back from Canada. He certainly comes in handy for all that stuff
Nothing much planned for today. Probably having chicken for dinner and the big decision is how to prepare it.
Hope everyone is having a good day

My head says bake the chicken, but my heart says fry the chicken. I know you won’t fry it, and I don’t blame you.
Have you ever coated your chicken in cornflakes and baked it? My mom used to do that, and it was so good.
I’m sorry your son won’t be there for Thanksgiving, but hopefully they’ll all be there for Christmas. And thanks for telling us about your daughter-in-law’s checkup. That is the best news possible, and I am so glad to hear it.

Yes I've coated the chicken in corn flakes and it's almost like having fried chicken except it's baked. You're right I don't fry food much anymore and count on my air fryer to do almost the next best thing.,
My son will be here for our Thanksgiving in November but Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in Oct.
It was the absolute best news to hear the news from my daughter in law.

@Marilynda1225 I knew Canada celebrated in October, and I wondered why a Canadian family (are they born Canadian?) would celebrate American Thanksgiving too.
I blame my 2:30am morning wake up for being off today.

@AmbiePam My daughter in laws sister married a Canadian. They lived here for a few years after they got married but decided he had better luck with work in Canada so they moved there years ago. Since her family is here they usually come down for Thanksgiving if not every year then mostly every other year.
So, this year my son and family will have 2 Thanksgivings I told them to have a really good time but PLEASE don't come back and say you're moving

Yes, my Aunt & Uncle are remarkable considering their ages. I wish them many more birthdays and good health.
As for my daughter in law...it's such a relief that she got the all clear from the doctor.
Chicken is one of those foods that can be made many different ways. I'm sure whatever you decide will be delicious

That is the problem with tech and we are being forced to pay online. Postage costs too much and you can't trust USPS to deliver on time or even get there. I like pay by phone.

You are right about the cost of postage and that USPS can't be relied on to deliver on time. Pay by phone is a good option and one I haven't given much thought to. Thankfully my bank came back online fairly soon and I was able to get my bills paid.

I cannot think of a better occupation, maybe besides a hairdresser, than a plumber to have in the family.
You're very blessed.
I had a day with its fair share of technical issues too.
I hope that they have a good weekend for coming up to celebrate Thanksgiving.

They're really looking forward to enjoying a Canadian Thanksgiving. They'll be spending extra time and doing some sightseeing while there, I forgot to ask what part of Canada her sister lives.
Today seems to be a day for technical issues for a whole bunch of different things for lots of us here. I've read quite a few posts about issues today.
Yes, being a plumber/electrician does come in handy.

Yes my Aunt & Uncle are amazing and I wish them many more years of good health. My daughter in law made my day with her good news and yes, the bank solved their issues quickly and I was able to pay my bills. Not fun seeing that money get sucked out of my bank account
