When Hitchcock Decided to Look Into the Mind of Norman

Director Alfred Hitchcock was a genius; there is no other way to look at it. He could take something ordinary and make it so it scared you to death. It was amazing what he did with "Psycho," and now this film is a good addition to top horror films.
In 1959 Robert Bloch wrote the novel "Psycho." It started turning the creative screws, and then Hitchcock put it all together with Anthony Perkins, who was great in showing us that Norman had lost his mind. Janet Leigh was the best “Scream Queen” there was, and so this movie got put together. Now and then I still watch it, thinking, "OK, the shower scene won’t bother me anymore," but it still does. The first time I watched, I could not take a shower in an empty house for about half a year.
I dare you to take a look at the shower scene and remember, dear Norman

@JohnRoberts Perkins really got me going on Norman and was spooked for a while if saw anyone who resembled him, In fact at one time I wrote a short story incorporating the Bates Motel, into the story.

You are correct in saying you just can’t go wrong with any film that Hitchcock made.

@RasmaSandra I don’t watch films of today ….and very little tv …or listen to today’s music. I am firmly in the past , where films and songs had a story to them.

The very first Psycho movie I watched was a remake and in colored already.
That's the first time I heard about Psycho. Then when I heard that the original version is going to be shown on tv, I watched it as well.
