Hockey Night Lights

The neighborhood will be quiet tonight. I live across the street from the University of Denver (DU,) and while these students are fairly tame as far as college kids go, they do pack the bar across the street and get a little rowdy at times. But it will be quiet tonight.
The students will be camping out in front of Magness Arena tonight, which is where the DU Pioneers hockey team plays. DU is a big hockey school - they hold the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship record at 11. In fact, they are the defending champions.
Tonight, the students will be taking part in an annual DU tradition called Hockey Night Lights. They are camping for the chance to win a Golden Ticket, which gives the lucky winners free admission to every home hockey game for the year.
So while the area will be quieter than usual on a Friday night, the students will be having a blast creating memories.
Link is to a short DU video about the tradition:

Sounds fun though, self created fun is always they best.

@teamfreak16 I believe it.
They destroyed the Kings already. To be fair we have no ice. Come on that was funny.

Yes, the Avs look good because students are camping out for college hockey.

Just now
@teamfreak16 We've been lucky to have had a caravan or motor-home. We did 'glamp' once. That was pretty nice but still no toilet.

It sounds like it. If I was a student, that's where I'd be.

@teamfreak16 Same for me probably. I did those sort of things when I was in college but in concerts.

@toniganzon - I used to love camping out for concert tickets.

I don't know, honestly. They're college kids, so I'm guessing there's at least a little partying. I walked past one night a couple years ago, it seemed pretty civil.
