This horror film from 1958, "The Horror of Dracula," has one of the greatest Dracula actors, Christopher Lee. The film includes Peter Cushing as Van Helsing, and in my mind I always picture him with a stake ready to attack the vampire. In this story Jonathan Harker from the novel “Dracula” confronts the count in his castle, and spooky and scary things happen. It was by Hammer Horror Productions, who have made quite a few really good horror films.

I remember seeing Christopher Lee playing the role as Dracula in theaters in Panama as well as on television in Louisiana. Dracula is a very scry charracter.

I like vampire stuff in general if they do it right like the Lost Boys, but never did get into Dracula, it always seemed predictable and kind of boring. They tried it so many times and I will take the out of no where vampire movie over Dracula anytime, but I guess it did start it all.
