Woke up early today to cook breakfast for my husband and support him on his first ever half marathon. He ran for his work charity at the Oysho Park Half Marathon run today and he has been preparing for these for a couple of weeks now. I did not know what to expect and I was not sure he was going to finish it but he did brilliantly. He managed to keep his pace at 5-6min per km. Which is quite good considering it is his first ever half marathon. I was so proud of him.

Congratulations, a Half Marathon is anyway 13.1 miles, it's a long way to go.

That's amazing, congrats to your husband on finishing his first half marathon. Keeping a 5 to 6 min pace the whole way is really good for a first timer. You must be so proud, and nice of you to get up early and cook him breakfast too.

I had to cook him breakfast as I did not want him to pass out. He said he will aim for 3min per mile next time.

That is a good feat ! Kudos to your husband and your support was very essential. And well such marathons supporting charity are very good for overall social cause.

I hope he would join more events like this in the future. But I think we keep it at half marathons. I think a full one would take too long. I can see he was very happy today.
