Health Journey 2026 - Day 71

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? It's almost time for me to get some sleep. Been a long day of waiting, and they never came and inspected. I don't think they will tomorrow as they don't usually work at this complex on Wednesdays. Anyways - this is more about my health journey, but I guess that partly is because it stresses me out and that is no good for health. My blood sugars have been pretty stable lately, that's great news. I am hoping for my next A1c to be under 6% I have also lost a good amount of weight, but still hope to lose a bit more before my appointment in December. But there are still birthdays and holidays before then. What did I eat today? Both of my meals were the same. Around 6 ounces of top round London Broil steak with some butter. I did cook the steak in a little beef tallow. Macros for everything -- 1,355 calories, 0 carbs, 106 fat, 95 protein Much better macros today with all four things. Don't you think? Yes, higher fat but I am trying to do that for hormone healing (for conception). I probably will go up in weight tomorrow just because I ate more than the day before, and didn't burn many calories. We will see though, just hope it doesn't jump up too much.

A doctor once told me holidays were not an excuse to eat how we wanted, and that we needed to learn to navigate them as just another day. I say that doctor never had holiday food like my relatives made!

Well I would have ignored that doctor lol. But why should we give up some joy for a day of eating what we want. They had really good food at holidays? The foods at holidays were never too important to me, except maybe Christmas candy lol.

@MommyOfEli2013 Every Christmas, my dad’s family gets together for a potluck. And oh boy! They make everything from scratch. It’s the best homemade food ever.

Sometimes you have to go higher because other areas have to addressed.

Glad your blood sugars have been steady, that's really good news. Hope the inspection stuff sorts itself out soon so you can stop stressing about it. Wishing you the best with the weight and the December appointment.
