Second opinion

Based on my experience, for serious cases, for example, before my appendix surgery, the urologist gave a second opinion from another doctor. 15 years ago before the birth of my first son, I was not sure with the doctor and then my wife and I went to another doctor for second opinion and she held some test to my wife and finally my wife was operated to take the baby.
Do you it is important to get a second opinion after seeing a doctor?

Fortunately for my latest case the doctor himself found another opinion for me

Sometimes I would think it would be a good thing to do
but sometimes we don't have that privilege so handy.

I know its is about privilege. I am thankful because know some doctor personally and i can ask some help when i have a case

I would probably only consider a second opinion if I wasn't happy or was unsure about the first one.
