Today’s Visit With Mother in Law Was Decent / myLot

Just like every Wednesday, hubby and I visited his mother in the Alzheimer’s facility and took her out to lunch She still eats well. She was in a good mood. She enjoyed getting out. She didn’t complain about anything. The speech therapist determined that she’s having slight difficulty swallowing so they’re going to do more testing. She gave us four pair of cheater readers to get rid of.

That sounds like a really good visit, getting her out for lunch every week must mean a lot to her. Glad she was in a good mood and still eating well. Hope the swallowing tests go ok and nothing serious comes up.

I hope she passes those swallowing tests. We went through that with my dad and when he could not swallow correctly was put on basically a liquid diet that they put thickener in. It was a boring diet and he didn't eat like he should.
