A repeat of yesterday, but at least the sun is out and no so windy. I was thinking early this morning about my sister's bday which is coming up at the beginning of Dec. I already discussed with her what I might get her, and she liked..but I have thought of something in addition. When sis and I were little girls we briefly lived in an apartment upstairs from my grandparents while our house in the burbs was being built. Sis used to go downstairs every night and have my grandfather play a particular song for her which was Big Rock Candy Mountain. This went on for weeks, or maybe months..however, one time when she went down there the record with it on was mysteriously "lost" never to return. I don't think we ever heard it again. Well, I found a CD on Amazon that has it on. Burl Ives is the singer, which may have been the album he had with it on. I will send a card with it for the little girl who loved Big Rock Candy Mountain. Do you like to do special things for people who are special to you?

I am not "Highly Keen" on special stuff but my aim is to make them feel happy, stress free and overall enjoy the things.
May be that seems like being aloof to some but I think over committing is not something that helps.
I hope your sister enjoys the card.
And the upcoming Birthday celebrations.

I want the CD to be a surprise. I think personalized gifts are the best really. It shows you care enough to notice the details.

Sometimes things like that pop into my head. They are special memories which can be utilized.
